ROMAN REPUBLIC, C. Sulpicius C.f., as Triumvir Monetalis (moneyer), Silver Denarius Serratus (3.94g, 19mm), Rome mint 106 BC. Obv. Jugate laureate heads of the Di Penates Publici left, "D · P · P" to lower left. Rev. Two soldiers stand vis-à-vis, each holding spear and pointing at sow which lies between them, crescent above, "C· SVLPICI· C· F" (LP ligate) in exergue. Crawford 312/1; Sydenham 572. Well centred and lightly toned, near Very Fine.
