MAGNA GRAECIA, Sicily, Lot of 3: First, Menaion, under Roman Republic rule, Æ Tetras (15mm), circa 275-212 BC, Veiled bust of Demeter right, wearing necklace and wreath of corn / Two crossed torches, "[III]" below, "MENAINON" surrounds (BMC 5); Second, Panormos, Æ Unit (12mm), after 295 BC, Veiled head of Demeter left / Prow of ship, "ΠAΡ" monogram above (SNG ANS 580); Third, Solus, Æ Unit (13mm), circa 300-241 BC, Head of Herakles right, wearing Neneab lionskin headdress / Fish right (Calciati 11). A nice lot of 3, each in average condition with typical roughness and each relatively scarce, good Fine to near Very Fine. [3]
