MAGNA GRAECIA, Sicily, Himera, Lot of Two: First, Æ Tetrantes or Trionkion (2.43g, 15mm), circa 425-409 BC, Pan, blowing into conch shell and cradling lagobolon in arm, riding goat springing left, three pellets (mark of value) and grain ear below / Nike flying left, holding aphlaston and hem of chiton (Calciati 31); Second, Æ Litra (10mm), before 484 BC, Cockerel standing left / Square mill sail pattern with striated border, all in incuse square (SNG ANS 145). Both scarce, the first in nice condition, well centred each side and of glossy dark patina, each Very Fine for type [2]
