Adequate advance notice of collection is required to ensure artwork is on site. Fees may apply for late collection. Provenance: Ex Hart Gallery, Mooloolaba. Born into the Boyd artistic dynasty, David Fielding Gough Boyd (OAM) rose to become one of the most idiosyncratic and beloved Australian painters of the 20th century. A graduate of the National Gallery Art School, where he studied from 1945 to 1946, Boyd established an international reputation abroad in Europe during the 60s and 70s, before permanently relocating back to Australia in 1975. His fluid, direct manner of painting has an immediacy that is both frank and reflective, exploring a broad scope of themes that probe all aspects of the human condition.
