The artist writes: 'I am inspired by the wonders of the natural world, the plants, the animals, the magic within it. My favourite genres such as surrealism, magical realism and contemporary narrative allow my imagination to flourish and develop works that keep me in love with creating beautiful and intriguing works of art. Animals and nature feature strongly in my work, but with an element of surrealism that takes the work past the obvious to create a story, a quirky twist or a deeper meaning. My realistic painting style follows the traditions and techniques of the Old Masters. With ongoing development and practice over the past 25 years, including formal training and a Bachelor of Fine Art, I create strong and sound artworks that are held in both Australian and international collections.'
