Damian Thompson expanded his artistic output after travelling extensively through the UK and Europe, visiting major art galleries and museums. Inspired by artists such as Monet, Turner, Lloyd Rees, Pollock and Fred Williams, his work epitomises freshness, spontaneity and vitality. A childhood spent in Western Queensland invoked memories of wildflowers blooming after the rain, the catalyst for 'Crimson Poppies'. Damian has exhibited in both solo and group shows in galleries including Hang-Ups, Blue Marble, Baguette and the Hilton Hotel.
