Complete with letter stating: 'I trust that this envelope and letter will serve as a souvenir of the first Australian Expedition into the Antarctic'. Sound condition, albeit roughly opened. A wonderful survivor of Australia's early presence in Antarctica leading to the establishment of the historic 1959 Antarctic Treaty.
