Description
The jewel with 9ct frame hung from a horsehair fob chain with rolled gold fittings, and rolled gold pocketwatch in case by Dennison, the watch missing hands and glass.
After Prince Albert's death until her death in 1902, Victoria wore black in mourning. It was fashionable for gentry to wear black jet or horsehair, until Edward VII's Coronation.
