Nazi Germany, Afrika Korps Artillery tropical field cap (Afrikamutze), 1941 model, the Artillery red soutache above the cockade, issued 1942 by Schlesische M�tzenfabrik, Frankenstein, beige cotton twill with hand-stitched eagle, cockade and machine-stitched cockade (in 1942 the German Army Headquarters directed the soutaches were no longer to be used by artillery units, the wearer of this cap was obviously in North Africa and not in receipt of the directive). Stained but superb original condition, rare.
